Our rooted journey

Our adventure began on the open road, crisscrossing the country as full-time RVers. But life took a turn with the arrival of COVID and a necessary pause for Jerry's knee recovery. It was during this time that we discovered the Heroes to Hives program, sparking a deep passion for beekeeping. What started as a healing pursuit quickly evolved into Shaconage Homestead in Nashville, Tennessee. Today, we're rooted, tending our apiary, growing food, and sharing the joys and lessons of beekeeping, self-sufficiency, and the sweet rewards of a slower life.
